On December 23, 2020, Huawei launched the latest member of its Nova series – Nova 8 in China. This lineup consists of two models – Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro and offers a bunch of new hardware as well as software features for the consumers.
Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro pricing details:
- Huawei Nova 8 (8+128GB) = 3299 yuan ($505)
- Huawei Nova 8 (8+256GB) = 3699 yuan ($566)
- Huawei Nova 8 Pro (8+128GB) = 3999 yuan ($612)
- Huawei Nova 8 Pro (8+256GB) = 4399 yuan ($673)
Talking of their specialties, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro comes with a 6.72-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution, 10-bit color depth, HDR 10, 80-degree ultra curved edges, pill-type punch hole to house two selfie cameras. It’s also the first Huawei device to feature a 120 Hz refresh rate for maximum graphics performance.
Huawei Nova 8 and 8 Pro packs a new camera design with a 64MP quad-camera system to take high-quality pictures as well as ultra-wide angle, macro, and portraits. On the front side, the Nova 8 Pro uses a combination of a 32MP ultra-wide-angle and a 16MP main camera, while the standard version has a 32MP selfie camera.
Compared to the Nova 8 Pro, the standard version sports a 6.57-inch display with FHD+ resolution, single hole punch, curved edge display, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
