On December 16, 2020, HarmonyOS 2.0 (Hongmeng OS 2.0) mobile beta launched for the developers, and the company opened the beta recruitment for the previous smartphone flagship.

Following the beta recruitment, Huawei now started pushing the first beta OTA for the developers who participated in the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile beta activity.

According to the information, the OTA has a package size of 4.04GB and it comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.33 (SP2DEVC00E2R5P90). However, this update doesn’t have a changelog and only has a one-line greeting for the developers. Furthermore, the update changelog has precaution notes similar to the regular software updates.

Initially, Huawei decided to keep the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer beta to a limited number of testers but the company likely to expand it to more devices in 2021

For now, we don’t have any further details on this version but we’ll keep you posted on upcoming development.
